Paphgirl April 6th, 2005, 07:10 AM :welcome: to the forum! Thanks for joining in, and what magnificent photos you've posted!
All three are gorgeous, very nice wardii. I love the helenae - such delicate colors!
Anonymous April 6th, 2005, 07:11 AM I wish I could get a helenae! Very nice pics!
Paphgirl April 6th, 2005, 07:15 AM I wish I could get a helenae! Very nice pics!
Are they one of those annoying "illegal in the US" plants?
That's unfortunate!
celticbear April 6th, 2005, 07:19 AM Thank you very much,
illegal in US ?????? really ?????????????????????
Not in EUrope.
Paphgirl April 6th, 2005, 07:44 AM Okay, I found that old thread around here and yes, helenae is not yet available here in the US - I guess that's why we don't often see a lot of photos of it on these boards. In the other thread it was mentioned that Antec has hybrids of it, so it should hopefully be available here soon. Thanks again for the lovely photo!
Paphraguy April 6th, 2005, 08:20 AM Great photos! Thanks for posting!

RickL April 6th, 2005, 07:26 PM Your plants do look good. We don't get to see allot of helenae pics.
Can we ask who the dealer was that you got it from?
I don't know any European dealers at all.
celticbear April 7th, 2005, 06:28 AM Hello,
so the P. helenae is in a 12 cm pot (sorry i don't know how in inch...) Yes the plant is very small but the flowers not.
and the plant came from "Wubben orchideen" a dealer from Netherland in Europe. Actually we find in Europe lots of hybrid from this Paph. But lot of them are not very intersting or beautifull... I'm not certain that P. helenae is a "good" parental for hybrid.
I'll send to you this evening a pic from one of this hybrid.
Marc
If my english is not good sorry... i'm french !!!
RickL April 7th, 2005, 10:41 AM Marc
What is your growing area like? Do you grow indoors under lights or in a glasshouse outdoors?
Rick
wolfcreekmn April 7th, 2005, 10:47 AM Hi Marc, thanks for the Pot size. There is 2.5cm in 1 inch. So it is about a 5 inch pot. I thought it was a small growing Paph. by your picture.
Your english is fine.
Thanks again for the pictures.
Eric
