This first-bloom Greyi is about to do it's thing! I'll keep you posted! It looks like fairly dark spots/stripes on the dorsal!

Paph niveum (pollen) X Paph godefroyae = Paph Greyi 1888
My only "complex" is one of these crossed with a Magic Lantern...should be very interesting. Looking forward to the "final" pic SH!

Can't wait to see the flower fully opened. Brachy's are my favorite Paphs, for now, anyway.

Well, here it is! I can't say I'm excited about the first blooming but I'm sure the second and third surely will be better. On the left side of the pouch you can see a small smear of what looks like pizza sauce and also a small projection. I don't know what the heck either of them are! The pizza sauce does not rub off and it is not rot.
Anyway, here it is!

Here it is in a 3" pot. WAY overpotted IMHO. I can't imagine the root system being THAT extensive!

:therethere: One of the most wonderful things about paphs opening for the first time is the true exicitment of something new emerging - they are not
clones so they are all different --enjoy -

Pretty nice for a first time blooming. It's talented as well if you taught it to eat pizza...just give it a bib next time. Congratulations on a great flower.

It's a nice flower, well worth reblooming a second time. I'm sure that the 'blemish' on the pouch won't be there next time.
