(Not that this one isn't!) I really like the one that isn't open yet. She looks so shy! I know, don't you just love the way the bud opens so elegantly? OK, here is the photo you requested. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6o1l1/be1.jpg It is very rare you see 3 bess flowers open at once unless you see a della in bloom which you know is a true multifloral. Paphgirl March 1st, 2005, 12:17 PM :D Thanks! Beautiful!! Ahhh, so that's how you got thinking about the della, no? Paphraguy March 1st, 2005, 12:40 PM :D Thanks! Beautiful!! Ahhh, so that's how you got thinking about the della, no? Yep! Slipperman March 1st, 2005, 12:40 PM Hello, I'm Slipperman! Just testing... mrmiddleton March 2nd, 2005, 09:03 AM Looks amazingly like my Phrag. dallesandroi. It bloomed last year for the first time on a two fan growth. Both fans spiked - one sporting two flowers, the other spike sporting four flowers. The color was a deep orange - no salmon coloring at all. Unfortunately, I am not a good photographer, and all my pics came out a little out of focus. Will try again this year. Repotted my Phrag. dallesandroi and schlimii in diatomite earlier this year. Curious to see how they take to the new medium... I'm just curious to know where you got your d'allesandroi from, if you don't mind me asking? It is a very hard to find species. Thanks! wolfcreekmn April 27th, 2005, 08:06 PM Hi Peter very nice looking . I love picture of 3 open at one time. :clap2: :clap2: Paphraguy April 27th, 2005, 08:21 PM Thanks, Eric! It was indeed a rare sight to see a besseae with 3 flowers open at once. This besseae is still in bloom and it has been in bloom for months! Paphraguy June 9th, 2005, 04:54 PM Here is the last flower on my red besseae. :( I would have to wait another year or so for the next flowering. Sniff! sniff! The flower is beginning to look wilted so I took one last shot of it next to the yellow besseae. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6o1l1/rb.jpg Paphgirl June 9th, 2005, 06:02 PM They're gorgeous! I'm still waiting, and totally jealous... Mine are growing but still....makes me jealous. I want to see my own red bess in bloom! (we need an impatient moti!) Jon in SW Ohio June 9th, 2005, 06:12 PM I love that last photo! My besseae is on its last flower as well....they just don't last as long as I wish they did. Is your flava besseae branching?? It looks like a bud growing out at the base of the spike. Thanks for sharing. Jon dustyatticstuff June 9th, 2005, 06:32 PM Pete! Beautiful! Can you SUPERSIZE that photo for more detail??? Paphraguy June 9th, 2005, 09:18 PM Jon, yes the yellow bess spike is branching. Susan, I'll try and post a larger photo tomorrow. Thank you all for the nice comments! I love the bessies! TADD June 9th, 2005, 09:40 PM Very nice photo. I really like the yeller one though! Nice red Bess also! Paphraguy June 10th, 2005, 09:26 AM Hi, Susan!
