Flowers are small, waxy and very fragrant (like lilac), one of my favorite Phal species.

I think I would like this one, very much, especially due to the fragrance. I love lilacs!

Sooo nice… Mine is a very tiny seedling—something to look forward to, I guess! The waxy fragrant phals are awesome.

I didn't say it before, but that's a great shot of the blooms. The lip is really cool, I didn't realize it was like that when I saw your earlier photos.

Well, with the re-org of my work growing area the other day, I could fit one there, but I'm not sure it would like my conditions. I really want a Dtps. Kenneth Schubert also. :nocomment:

Oh, geez....you made me look!

Phals don't usually like my conditions but my schlill and leudde are doing great in my care. If you want one, try Oak Hills, mine came from them a long time ago. I have seen a few leuddes and they all looked very different to me and some were not frgarant.

Hey, yeah, even tho OL has both of these in spike, no less, I prefer your leudd. So...will have to pass on that. Expensive anyway.

I just resized the leudd photo, didn't realize it was so big before. I think I paid around $20 for mine and it was a nice sized mature plant in spike when it first arrived.

This species is a great grower. I have a keiki (2 years old now) from a clone called Woodlawn. Very fragrant too.
It had blooms on it when I got it, and it keeps adding spikes every year.
They also take to mounts very easily.

Check with Ed Merkle to see if he has any keikis available. He posts allot on OSF

I used to have one of these that was really old. It had leaves that were about 15 inches long by about 4 or 5 inches wide. It bloomed all of the time and was one of the easiest phals to grow. My parents took it over for a while and actually killed it. I have been looking for another one so your post was perfect.
