I love the deep purple pink color that this one has. The flowers are 3 inchs across. I have had this one for 4 years and every year it blooms with at least 9 flowers on a spike.
This year the new leaves came out limp they are growing ok ,but they are not stiff. I dont know what is happening to it.

Very nice!
I only have a couple phals and have not managed to rebloom them, yet... working on a couple species at the moment also. It is nice the blooms last so long!

My one white phal, my second orchid, actually, has a couple of limp older leaves, but the new leaves are nice and firm and shiny. I don't know what is going on with those others. I admit, I neglect them terribly... water once a week, that's it.

Hi Heather, thanks i love Phals they give you color for 6 to 9 months out of the year. (Ok I love all Orchids) :-dance: Mine are planted in 7inch clay pots with New Zealand moss. What i have noticed is, if you water them every other week that helps from getting root rot when using moss. Mine are in the east window. Also if they are a little on the dry side and a cool down that helps it start a spike. Hope this helps.
