There's nothing normal about that! :WOW: Paphgirl November 16th, 2005, 06:55 PM Uri, I have two new generation besseae in bud or blooming from Orchids Limited that (at least the first one) looks very similar in shape and deep color to your's. I did a little measuring just now and the petals are about 1.5cm. wide and the pouch is the same, and more narrow. The other one's we've been posting lately are the new strains from Orchid Zone and the pouch and petals are about a 1/2 cm. larger on my third bud. The others were significantly smaller. At any rate, I've been waiting until they fully open and we have some sunshine to try and get some decent photos. I love both types, myself, but I am the quintessential besseae freak. I find all the differences just fascinating! Park Bear November 21st, 2005, 07:27 AM love that color! |
