Hello, this is a new poll as of 11/13/05.

What is your preferred method of chatting and would you participate in a weekly scheduled chat? If so, what time slot would fit you best?

i am in eastern time zone and would love weekly chats. sunday nights i see alot of traffic on the forum maybe it is a good day. maybe just fine tune a time?

I like the Sunday night idea also - less work things to interfer, and more likely to be home unwinding from a weekend of orchid shopping!

Sunday nights are good for me also! I am in the fairrieanum time zone.... Eastern of course.

I'm in Central. Sunday work well for me too!

I would suspect Sunday would be better. Eastern time zone.

Sunday evening/night would be best for me also.

Sunday 4 p.m. (ET) or thereabout would be ideal for Europeans as well (+ 5 h. in Western Europe) and would be fine for the West coast and Hawaii, though too early for Japan & Taiwan. Alternate Saturdays & Sundays would be even better since Saturday evening (ET) should be Sunday morning in Asia (I hope I am right).

A weekly chat would be great, but I also think it would be nice if we knew each others IM names so that when we see all those online you could say hello or ask a question ....... chat anytime ......

I agree, IM is fun too - mine is in my profile - maybe others can put there names in their profiles as well.

re: Sunday - Okay, so I generally work until 4:30 on Sundays, but I'm pretty free after that in the evenings. Next week though is the OSOS show, so probably later is better than earlier, at least for those of us attending that day.

Good idea Heather, I added my IM address to my profile also. I work on Sundays until 6pm central, so maybe a Sunday evening chat?

I haven't used IM in ages. We all got it installed here at work to facilitate communication with our IT guy but that never really panned out. I'll have to see if I still have it.
