Hi!
I'm starting to think my haynaldianum might be right in time for showing. What do I need to know/do? Probably, I could take a day off to get it down there, and planning on coming back down Sunday afternoon anyway.

How do I register a plant? If it isn't ready, is there a penalty for it not showing up? I've no clue what this one will look like!

Unfortunately, my Penn's oldest bloom started drying the petals out today, darn it. The fifth isn't even close to blooming yet, but what will it look like in 2 weeks? Might be worth a try, also.

Can you give me a tutorial on how to enter plants for showing in this show?
THANKS!

If you are going to a show rather than the judging center, and you are not setting up a display. You just show up (during the designated set up hours) generally on Friday, and put it on the "plant table". Registration is just about the same as going to the judging center. You just fill out the ticket they hand you at the registration desk. One difference is that you need to no what class the plant is that you are entering. The info is in the show schedule, which you can also get at the registration desk. Multi floral paph species should be class30. Single flower species are class 29, and sequentials are31. The hybrid classes are 32-41 and are based on color There is no penalty for not showing up (other than the loss of your good name), but if you bring the plant after the set up time is closed (usually Friday evening) you usually can't get the plant entered. Judging is usually done bright and early Saturday morning, but sometimes Friday evening right after set up. If you are staying for the show see if you can sign up to clerk..

If the plant is on the plant table it needs to be cleaned up the way we were suggesting for Teresa.
