I recently bought a Phrag Carol Kanzer that's been losing leaves from day one - I finally decided to repot it, and found that 95% of the roots are mush. I've removed them - I know phrag roots, these are mush. I'm going to contact the vendor, but wondering what to do with the plant. Put it in sphag for now, or what, in the hopes or rerooting it - it has a few, FEW, roots, I think, that might be viable.

I would put it in CHC or Sphag and just keep it moist not wet. Phrags are pretty resilient. Good luck!

You might consider some rooting hormone or a soak in Superthrive to stimulate some root growth. There are some old threads , on called "help save my rootless wonder" or something like that with directions to stimulate root growth.
