I have this Phrag Pearcii that I've just about had it with.
It grows but seems to be getting leafe tip burn that then spreads down the leaf.
This fungus or whatever it is even kills new growths
At first i thought it was minerals in my water but aafter a ton of flushing and watering with distilled I'm still getting it.
Any thoughts?

I had the same problem with one of my ecuadorense a few years ago and when I cut back on the fertilizer, the problem went away. To post photos, here is a LINK (http://www.slipperorchidforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=395).

Hello

I have a phrag Hanne Popow that's doing the same thing. I will cut back on the fertilizer and see if that helps. I have been feeding it like my other phrag and that one is growing like crazy.

The Key to success with pearcei, ecuadorense and alikes is that they have to be kept constantly wet, otherwhise they get "leaf tip burns" and eventually loose leaves, now this beeing said it's quite difficult to completely avoid this phenomenon.

If you can grow live moss then you should have no problem with the pearcei, and I give them constant water in a tray under the pots. I think they should like normal amounts of nitrogen in a fertilizer mix, but may not be keen on other salts. pH should be in the 5 to 6.5 range, and air humidity >60% at all times.

I still get burned tips on older growths (especially after flowering) , but new growths generally look good.
