Ummm dunno the date yet, the NCOS hasn't yet posted info on the upcoming one. It's usually the 3rd or 4th Saturday in February, I think, although I've only been to the past two.

February's good. I think I am going to try to go down. I have a friend who recently moved to the area, and I am sure I can get a free plant ticket. So, as long as it isn't the week of the NYC gift show, I'll be all set! :D

I think it is every year, but not certain of that. I guess maybe the information hasn't been released yet?

It is at the National Arboretum in the NorthEast section of DC. Seems to be around the 2 week in Feb. Lots of great show plants and plenty of plants for sale. I have been several times and have yet to be disapointed.

according to Woodstream's website, it's Sat Feb 18 at the national arboretum. (Their website says 2005, but I'm pretty sure that's a typo as everything else jibes.)

I turned them up, but was worried it was last year's date, one of the reason's I posted! Thanks Ki - you went last year yes? Did you enjoy it?

well this year was the 25th, and next year the 26th. This year was Sat Feb 19, next year (per woodstream) Sat Feb 18.

I did go this year but mostly because John wanted to go. I was not into slippers much (yet). I only managed two of the talks but they were great - especially as I never make the OS meetings.

Woodstream's numbers are screwy - they mention last year's date in betwixt their 2005-2006 schedule? But 2005 is listed, not 2006?

Would like to know the real dates and who's speaking if possible?

I took another look at woodstream's site and I still think the only thing they got wrong is the year. Not sure what else you think is screwy - the 2006 meeting will be the 26th annual meeting, Feb 18 is a Sat in 2006, and it's in the right slot in the calendar (if you assume 2005 is a typo).

This past February was Phillip Cribb and Harold Koopowitz! and the year before that had Olaf Gruss and... someone else I don't remember.

What's the weather like in DC in February? I might actually be able to make it. I keep thinking a big Paph event should be held in the Midwest since there are so many growers here but so far it seems they're restricted to the Forum in DC and the one in California.

Yeah, but down south where it is warm in the winter would be better! :poke:
