View Full Version : Paph ang-thong var. album
Paul February 18th, 2009, 04:25 PM Here is a plant, I bought as "Paph. ang-thong var. alba".
What do you think, could it be P. concolor forma album?
This album is smelling like my concolor. Does anyone know, are godefroyae or ang-thong smelling like concolor?
I looked in Olafs book "Genus Paphiopedilum, Albino Forms" too, but the pictures don't allow me to identify my plant.

Paul February 20th, 2009, 09:07 AM Thank you Chun Yee! My concolor looks similar to yours, but I have no picture of it and it doesn't bloom now, so I can't compare the staminodiums. And my "P. ang-thong album" is not as white as it seems to be on the picture. It is of a little bit creamy or yellowish color.
Do you know, wether your P. ang-thong smells?

This questions were the start of this thread.
kavanaru August 9th, 2009, 08:04 PM hhhhhmmm.... OK, Olaf is really the expert, so I trust his opinion about this plant... There is laways something new to learn...
however, I would have never thought of it as ang-thong... I would have gone for concolor album too...
