HansenS October 17th, 2005, 02:57 PM I've often seen NBS plants of this listed by Jeffsflasks on ebay. None right now; I checked. Most descriptions of the scent of this orchid that I have read said that it was spicey. arcticshaun November 22nd, 2005, 06:25 PM My sister just picked up a bag flask of C. porphyroglossa from the Orchid Species Preservation Foundation www.orchidspecies.ca but this is from Edmonton Alberta in Canada so probably not worth the hassle. I'm not allowed anymore orchids so my sister brought home 2 of these bag flasks (Zygo. Port Vincent as well) for me to babysit. It will be a long time before I can confirm the scent. For comparison purposes we paid $25 Can. for 25 seedlings. Shaun Ron-NY November 22nd, 2005, 06:44 PM [/quote]I've often seen NBS plants of this listed by Jeffsflasks on ebay. I don't suspect his SO will continue on with his venture phrag guy November 22nd, 2005, 07:45 PM I have a compot of them in canada, my friend here in Ont has flasks of the 25 plants for $25:00.He also has many other specieces Peter Croezen orchids@golden.net HansenS November 22nd, 2005, 09:54 PM Floralia of Brazil used to carry C. porphyroglossa. I don't believe the plants they had came from Brazil. They can bring plants to shows, next one is January in Florida. Porphyroglossa isn't listed on their present listing; but they may still have some; or they may be able to get some. Plants brought from S. America, from the two shipments that I've gotten, tend to come with dessicated roots. |
