All,

Being fairly to new to growing Paphiopedilums I am looking for some discussion as to an appropriate fertilization schedule/methodology for the various classes. Specifically, what successful schedules have people used for Brachys vs Complex vs Maudiae etc.

In addition is there a specific recommended fertilizer N-P-K ratio that is recommended for the various groups? How about Micronutrients? ANy recommended fertilizer brands?

I am sure this exists out there somewhere, but it would be nice to get a single point reference.

Thanks Everyone,
Darin

The slippers in my collection are mainly multis and I have been using Peter's Orchid Food for many years and I think they are now Jack's Orchid Food or something like that. I know of one grower in FL who claims he has never used any kind of fertilizers and yet his plants grow and bloom profusely!

I also have mainly multi-florals, so I cannot speak to your specific needs, but I fertilize once a week with MSU pure water fertilizer at a rate of 125 ppm.
