View Full Version : This eBay picture looks familiar...
silence882 September 27th, 2005, 12:02 PM Hello all,
People on eBay stealing pictures is a pet peeve of mine and the picture used in the following looks eerily familiar:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Orchid-Phrag-wallissii-SPECIES_W0QQitemZ7715287035QQcategoryZ1510QQrdZ1QQ cmdZViewItem
I could easily be mistaken, or the member who posted this pic could be the seller, but I just thought I'd check to make sure

likespaphs September 27th, 2005, 12:15 PM she's had that picture for quite a while
i'm pretty sure before the forum started
(and i'm pretty sure orchidspeed is a she, though i may be mistaken)
Paphgirl September 27th, 2005, 12:20 PM ...and I'm pretty sure she's not a member here.
I wonder if she'd sell more orchids if she took better photographs. :poke:
(sorry, I know, I'm one to talk, but they are notoriously awful.)
dustyatticstuff September 27th, 2005, 12:56 PM Yup, that's her own photo. She's been using it forever. I'm pretty sure that the seller is female as well. I don't understand why she doesn't work on getting better photos.
silence882 September 27th, 2005, 02:08 PM Yeah here's the thing.... Now that I think about it, it may have seemed eerily familiar because I'd seen it on eBay a while back. My mistake completely, I had no ill intent and I apologize to the seller!

A BS kolo with a 14" LS? Hmm, is it a dwarf kolo? Please give me a break!

Paphraguy September 27th, 2005, 05:22 PM My kolo is in sheath for the first time and the LS is about 4' and I have seen older mature ones at almost 6'!!!

Guys
Up until a short while ago, leaf span meant base to tip for me. It's taken me a while to realise that when you guys talk about leaf span it's tip to tip. There'll be others who think similarly.
Cheers

Yeahhh, and Peter, please stop tempting me to get Ross's kolopakingii. I simply don't have room, and yet here I am thinking upon it again.
*sigh*
I really need more space!!!
