Ok, here goes. I just got home from 5 days out of town, and what do you know, I notice two of my paphs looking a bit unusually plump at the base, so I peek inside, and there is what I'm convinced is a spike coming out. There is no indication that these are leaves in either plant, you can't see any divide, no double-leaf action, etc., it's one solid thing poking up. I know I'll know in a few days for sure, but I want to know KNOW :)

Any chance you can tell by the photos?

Paph Kimberly Szabo x Anna Szabo (I bought this one a few months ago, so don't really take credit for this)

And my second paph, Adam Hausermann "York" AM/AOS x Winston Churchill "Indomitable" FCC/AOS (I bought this one a bit ago, so I take credit!)

They do look like sheaths to me. You'll soon find out. Do let us know.

Well to be anally technical they're not preggers but they're preparing (or at least one of them is) to be :)

What are they?

Well, ok, Stephan, anal but correct :-) I listed what they are right above the photos, one is a szabo cross and the other is Adam Hausermann "York" AM/AOS x Winston Churchill "Indomitable" FCC/AOS

Late night for you?

Lunch break for me :) Should have paid more attention to the text above the photos but I'm sorta "rushing" things while I chow down. So, both complex hybrids - it'll be interesting to see how the W C combo comes out. It'll probably be a bulldog type - hmmmmm.

Cheers
Stephan

Yeah, it's 11pm Eastern - I work for myself, so stay up pretty late. And yeah, the Szabo actually could be quite interesting as well - saw a beautiful sibling of this cross when I bought it, was really great (if you like complex paphs, which I do :-) And yeah, the WC of course could be interesting, since both parents are good quality.
