Here is one of my Phrag Inca Embers. It is a cross of Phrag. Andean Fire x Phrag. longifolium. If I am not mistaken it was made by one of our members, Leo Schordje in 1997. This was one on the first phrags I moved over to straight Diatomite earlier this summer. It appears to like it!

Mine has only a couple more blooms also. Maybe only one.
Lovely color on your's Jeff.

Interesting to hear it likes the straight diatomite. My crappy little besseae is also doing well in nothing but diatomite.

After reading AnTec's rec to use it straight and talking to Bob, I was convinced. I'm on my 5th bag and see no end in sight. I think I'll use coconut husk up to 4 inches and anything in bigger pots will get diatomite.
