View Full Version : My Paph. hirsutissimum var. esquirolei
Paphgirl March 23rd, 2005, 10:47 AM Is not quite open yet, but I thought it would be fun to see/document the changes. Enjoy!
Pete - to my eyes, color is pale green right now w/ dark purple speckles which gives it a brownish tinge. Petals are brighter dark purple/magenta. It is very fuzzy (and at this stage, reminds me of Snoopy! LOL!)

Jon in SW Ohio March 23rd, 2005, 03:23 PM Hey Lowell,
I can GIVE you a blooming size hirsutissimum for FREE at our next meeting if you want one. I have MANY divisions of this plant, and it grows like a dandelion.

Paphgirl May 26th, 2005, 04:30 PM So, both of our blooms lasted almost two months. Not bad for a unifloral. Mine drooped today. I ended up loving this one, wasn't sure I would like it so much as I did. It was easy to photograph also!
Paphraguy May 26th, 2005, 04:39 PM Yep, not only long lasting but the flowers are also quite big and not tiny! I love this species.
TADD May 27th, 2005, 04:26 PM 2 months is a prettyt decent length for that. I would be happy
Park Bear May 31st, 2005, 11:14 AM very nice, thanks for the progress update
