Very nice! :joy:

I don't know why everyone thinks their lists are small - every slipper counts a lot in my book! Good growing!

Hi Tadd, you have a nice list there. I wouldn't call that short :D My list would be considered tiny then.

No I do not grow phrags yet, I dont think I have the light requirements or space available. Most of my largwer paphs are still pretty small. Once I move into a greenhouse, I will experiment with phrags.

No my pebblepaths are a few months out of a flask. Very small!
Thanks for looking!

If you can grow Paphs, I'm sure you can grow Phrags also and if you have space issue, then grow the smaller compact ones like schlimii, hirtzii, ecuadorense and even besseae.

Here's my paph collection, and this is truly a small list:

Paph. (Satchel Paige x Voodoo Magic)

Yup, that's it.
Actually, I was thinking of doubling my collection at the Redlands Show next weekend. Maybe you folks with large collections can make a recommendation for me.
I would like a multifloral, preferably a sequential bloomer, preferably compact. I'd also prefer it to look like a Rothschildianum or St. Swithin type. Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hey, Marcus, nice collection!

I would probably copy and paste this post into a new thread. You may get more responses.

I am behind your roth or St. Swithin like purchase (St. S was my first paph purchase,) though neither would I call "compact". Perhaps something like one of the more compact roebelinii's would work for you. They have the nice striped dorsals and stay smaller.

Or, perhaps one of the Booths, though I don't know that I'd call them compact either. My Susan Booth got rather large...Perhaps others can weigh in and help you decide.

I definitely think doubling your collection is a brilliant idea! :D

If you like the roth or the St Swithin type plants, then why don't you just get a roth or even a St Swithin? However, a nice roth of good parentage will come with a price. Let us know what you get.

The leaf span is worth it too! :D

Thank you for your suggestions. I will try reposting it.
I am hesitant to get a Roth or St. Swithin, partly because of the price tag and partly because of the size. I have a tendency to knock over tall orchids, especially my Phals.

The sequential bloomers are a good group to jump into if you are growing indoors, they are not big, and you don't need allot of patience waiting for roth types to get there blooming act together.

Once you get about 3 or 4 sequentials going you can usually have at least 1 paph always in bloom.
