When I bought this plant 2 years ago, I was told its a villosum. It bloomed twice for me in the past. Now the same plant bloomed again but with the dorsal looking different. I am beginning to think that it might be a hybrid of the two. Thanks for any help.

The flower does look like a hybrid of the two but I could be wrong. Beautiful plant!

That is a hybrid not a species. Great looking plant!

Thanks all. Paul, I will google exul x gratrixianum but there will be no way to confirm its real ID, so I'm afraid it will remain Paph hybridnoid from now on.

The first two photos are not inconsistent with gratrixianum (somewhat unusual color pattern in the dorsal), but that could be partially a temperature influence. In the 3rd photo the petals seem somewhat atypical.
The foliage might give you some clues. Gratrixianum has narrow leaves in upright fans, while villosum has broader leaves and floppy fans.
At the Paph Forum in Washington DC this weekend, there were several typical gratrixianums in bloom. However, Terry Root showed a photo of one of the latest results of his line breeding, and the dorsal had a significant dark pink blush.
