Wow, that's so cool. Love the color and markings. Is this the normal color for this species?

I'd say pretty typical color. I've heard that lindlyanum has more red in the petals than most species in the group. I like the pouch...

Although if you ask me, lindlyanum and sargentianum are synonymous. Kaieturum too (if I could spell it, maybe I'd promote it to species... *grin*). But I'm not a taxonomist.

But the clone has not a good shape. Normally the petals shoul dbe more horizontal.

Best greetings

Mine is spiking now, but no buds yet. Hope to post a picture in a couple of weeks.

It tends to hold the petals more out to the sides as Olaf says. The amount of red in the petals and flushed in the pouch tends to vary somewhat between flowers on mine.

I also have a couple of compots of this species (my plant crossed with one of Troy's) that will be divided soon.

Gideon,

I love the deep red color on the back of the petals and the beautiful green color of the flower!
