I have a Paph Dollgoldi with ten growths of which three have a leaf span of 12 to 14 inches across the leaves are not real wide sort of slender . I am asuming these are aproaching blooming size or they may be now . I have never seen one in bloom. and hard to tell from a picture they always focus on the bloom. If anyone has any cultural tips for these it would be a big help. I am giving it as much light as I thoughtit would take. Thanks Ray

I may have to put that one in my top 5 favorite Paphs! That's now a very expensive and impressive plant! Yep, both parents can handle a lot of light...both also need cool temps to initiate buds. So, if you're not getting consistent night temps down to 60 (or even less) then it might not...

Your plant is more than matured with 10 growths and if it hasn't bloomed for you then, it means it is not getting sufficient bright light.

Hi Terp, Thanks for the info but do you think that it is mature enough to bloom? Ray

Looks like you posted before you saw Peter's response. WAY mature! And, plants 1/3 of that size go for over $100. So, like Peter said, try blasting it with more light and getting it cool... There's a 6 growth one nearby me that won't bloom because it's in a warm greenhouse...getting almost catt level light too.

Hi Terp, I will give it cooler temps that will be easy here In Rhode Island night temps are down there. and in my growing area I have a cool end to it. I have been giving it light from a south window dosen't get the full sun but itis also under flourcent lights I have a sun room so there's light all around I have a solid roof so I use florecents to help .Two of the growths are starting either a new leaf or could be the start of the bud sheath I haven't grown Paphs long enoughthe ones I have are just starting to do well for me.I had two in the Ct. show and got a coupleof ribbons . Thanks again for the info I can use it. Ray

Well they don't look fuzzy to me but I have a Gloria Naugle Thats in low bud and it's not fuzzy. The growths have Three leaves on one side and two on the other if that makes a difference . I bought the Gloria Naugle in bud recentlybut it's comming along fine . I have it in the warmer part of the growing area . Glen Decker had told me awhile back he got his to bloom by added light and air movement almost in front of a fan he had going. That was an awesome Naugle. Everyone was gathering around that one . He has some great plants though. I am going to be seeing him today hope he has somthing interesting for sale. Ray

I saw that Gloria Naugle at the RI and/or MA show last November, I think. You're right, it was pretty spectacular (though that is not one of my favorite hybrids.) I have a photo of it but it is on my other computer. Oh no, I found it, here it is...

If it doesn't bloom this year, try cutting back a little on the watering for a month or so next winter. I got this suggestion from someone else who blooms a lot of roth and roth hybrids. It worked on my Cooksonii(roth x druryii) and I am hoping for results on my Delrosi.
