Hey all, could anyone tell me how large I should let a keiki grow on a miniature dendrobium before removing and potting it?
Here's a photo:

Thanks.

i usually wait for the roots to establish themselves or just leave them on untill they bloom :D

Roots should be 2-3 inches.

Generally two mature growths - good root stock helps heaps but the plants also need a little in reserve.

If it was a kingianum hybrid I's say rip it of and bury it in literally anything - it'd grow - most anything else will need some back up though.

if it's dend. biggibum - the roots look long enough but I'll wait for the keiki to be a few cm longer. that should be quick. they are very strong and survive no matter what you (I) do to them.

Hey all, thanks for the tips. The plant's a NOID I received as a gift, so I'll let it get a bit bigger before severing the keiki.
