Hi, folks!

Phew, it took me all day just to setup the whole forum and we now finally have a new host for the forum and lets hope the new host server is more reliable and have better service than the last one! The forum even loads faster here on the new server. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you all for the patience and the great support!

Have a great day!

Great, glad to see you got a new host  ...btw I mailed VizaWeb Inc asking what their guarenteed uptime is after the last outage and they replied saying We have a 99.97% uptime guarantee...If you sign-up now, you will be installed on unix18 which has been a very reliable server for us.

Hi, Gideon!

That is just plain crock! Before we even signed up with them, that was exactly what they told me, HA! We signed up with them back in July and we have had nothing but all kinds of problems with slow reloading and freqeunt down times and it just got worse ever since! I'm so glad that we don't have to deal with them ever again and I even doubt that they will refund us the unused 10 months, it would be nice if they do but I highly doubt it.

Thanks a bunch! Without the great support of our members, this forum would be nothing. Take care!

Hi, Jake!

Thanks! The new host is Bluehost and they cost a little more but they are listed in the top 10 host servers and have great reviews, so we shall see how good they are! Before I started the forum back in March 05, I had no experience with PHP but somehow I taught myself PHP and a little bit of html. I still find it a little difficult AND scary at times especially during updates and regular maintenance but I feel much more confident now than when I started 6 months ago.

(Ugh - it's not faster on dial-up, that's for sure! I'm not on my computer at the moment.)
Pete, thanks for choosing a day I was stuck in a car to do this - the withdrawls weren't so bad. AND I got to play with a new toy when it came back up!
Looks great, well, the same actually!

Glad everything went so smoothly and hopefully that is the end of us having to post forum down time messages.

Has anyone had any issues? I heard from Stephan that he still can't get on?
Anyway...just thought I'd mention it.

I don't know why he can't log in but it is a whole different server, so hopefully he can soon log in and joins us! Other members from Australia had no problem logging in. If you are reading this Stephen, try and clear out your browser cookies and see if that helps! Good luck!
