Got my Mexipedium today from Windy Hill Gardens.
Really sweet plant - blooms are adorable (but utterly impossible to photograph.)
This has 3 old growths, two in bloom, one that looks like it is in sheath (but what do I know?) and 4 unbloomed, two of them relatively new. A total of 10 growths. The leaves are super succulent.
I'm rather enamoured...*sigh*

Wow what a way to start with a plant. I know i've seen them at some shows for over 70 dollars a growth. they always look so lost with just one plant in the pot . Nice going You'll have a speciemn in no time. Ray

Thanks! I hope so too!
I thought I didn't really have much interest in these, but hey, tastes change. And in person - what can I say, pretty darn wonderful. I will bring it next month to my society meeting, if it is still in bloom, even though it wouldn't be elligible for judging, I think it would be educational for others to see in person. What a little sweetheart!!

It reminds me soooo much of a little tiny Cyp!!

Thanks all for the nice comments.
Yep, Marilyn offered me a pretty sweet deal...couldn't resist! You only live once, right? Boy, she really knows how to grow these things well!

Hi Heather , a friend of mine has one of these with about eleven growths and he is growing it in a Bonzi Pot . It looks good in it and it's a little easier to control. This plants throws out runners with the elongated pot just seems to work. You'll have runners going all over before long. Have fun Ray.

Thanks Ray,
I plan to put it in a bonzai pot when I repot it, but I'm leaving it be for a while - let it adust to my conditions first.
