Dear Phragfriends,
the cross between Phrag. Hanne Popow with Phrag. richteri flowered 1998 the first time in the nursery of Franz Glanz in South Bavaria. He named this nice plant Phrag. Achental, it means the valley (Tal), where the river named Tiroler Ache is.
The cross with the typical Hanne Popow produced the reddish flowers, crosses with a yellow Hanne Popow white to yellowish flowers.

When the flowers begin to open then the petals are flat, but later on then they turned more and more.

The breeder lives in this nice valley in the small village Unterwössen and I live in the beginning of the valley also in a small village.

That you can imagin how beautiful this valley between Munic and Salzburg is, here a picture of the Achental. I would prefer when we would have always the blue sky, but the last weeks it was very seldom.

Olaf, I love the Phrag, but the valley in which you live is spectacular!
Thank you for sharing with us. It is obvious that you love where you live. :)

Beautiful Flowers, Olaf!

I have an old friend (an American) who moved to Germany about 15 years ago and has lived there ever since. He loves it there. Now I understand why. What a wonderful place to live!

Best,

Olaf

Dear Susan,
there are also so many other places in the world which are beautiful.
So I love it very much to visit other countries, USA, Spain, Italy (next weekend), Austria, Scandinavia, Taiwan, Japan and so on.

But in the end I am also happy when I come home.

Best greetings

Olaf

On the other side. The view is going south. 5 km north is one of the biggest lakes in Bavaria, the Chiemsee.
