I did not attend last year, since the WOC in Miami sort of blew my orchid budget. Also, a second orchid trip after a week in Miami was not going over too well at home.

This year the speakers list is much more interesting than last year. I opened the e-mail with the invitation, while I had a fellow Paph fanatic (Sharon) on the speaker phone, and my wife was listening in. The conversation went something like this:

Me: Holy smokes, Terry Root is speaking this year, I am going.
Sharon: WOW - when is it?
Me: February 14th . .
Wife: You are NOT going on Valentines Day!!!!
Me: Yes I am, but you are invited dear, and we will have a good dinner.
Wife: How long are we going?

So . . , this year the Forum is costing me a 3 day weekend in DC, and in a hotel much better than what I would have done for a 1 day trip by myself. However, I will be there.

Is anyone else going?

We are staying at the Doubletree in Bethesda. By prepaying we got a room for $89 + taxes. We found it through www.hilton.com
