hello all,

today I unpotted one of my paphs callosum that was not looking so good and found out that some roots were completely rotten. I also spotted some very small "red dots" (actually like tiny balls) on some of the roots. I suspect it might be some kind of fungus (it's not moving and really does not look like spider mites). When I cut off some of the rotten roots off, I found out the inside is sort of mushy and red ...

Does that ring a bell ? any idea about what this might be and how to treat it ?

Are you anywhere near sugar maple country?

I did a google search on "Fungus" and "Red Fruit" and came up with a number of possibilities. This one was at the top.
