Here is a pic of my phil in bloom about a year ago on 2 spikes and 12 flowers.

That's a nice example of the species although PETL could be a bit short ... This one should be a reliable bloomer in your place, isn't it ?? :lol:

What size is that pot? I'm always amazed at the enormous difference in sizes on mature phillips.

very nice, this has been on my list since last year. I must look at that list more often instead of buying everything.

8" pot and the plant has 10+ growths. Mature phils can get quite big.

Impressive! I've seen some smaller, multi-growth versions in 5" pots which is why I asked... The plants and flowers were tiny. I believe one was a variety called minutium or something like that...

It may have been a roebellinii but some roebs can get quite big also at maturity and flowers have longer more twisted petals.

I have in bloom right now Phil Angel Wings x Easter Parade. with four growths but they are small it has three flowers and they are very small. The flowers are still developing wish I could post a pic just don't have a camera yet. Your plant looks awesome. Ray

Thanks, Ray! Mine is exactly the same cross and mine now has 10+ growths and in bud again. I would love to see your phil in bloom! Do post if you can.

That phil is awsome Pete. I really like the even flower spacing allong the spike. Good job!
