couscous74 August 5th, 2005, 09:37 PM Very nice Jane. I have been thinking about getting one. How big is it? And how is the fragrance? Is yours potted or in a basket?
Thanks,
L I Jane August 5th, 2005, 10:06 PM No fragrance :( but the colour helps to make up for that. This one is potted --my others bluebird & lea are in baskets.
nyorchids August 5th, 2005, 10:08 PM love the purple!!
L I Jane August 5th, 2005, 10:28 PM It's Blue --Stan :D
nyorchids August 5th, 2005, 10:34 PM It's Blue --Stan :D
it is sooo purple what does everyone else think??
Paphgirl August 6th, 2005, 05:49 AM It is BLUE Stan.
(It is purple, but I think it is a faux pas in the orchid world to say that. So, say "nice coerulea you have there Jane!")
:D
Gideon August 6th, 2005, 07:57 AM That is lovely, I have been thinking of getting one as well, I love the BLUE (Stan, I'm not falling into that one)
nyorchids August 6th, 2005, 08:17 AM well regardless it is beautiful! maybe i am color blind :embarass:
L I Jane August 6th, 2005, 08:22 AM Now this 'old lady' is getting testy :poke: This plant is the same colour-BLUE as the dark blue hydrangeas you see in the summer --so there!!
If you all want to drive here while it is still in bloom to check it out --I'll serve coffee & cake-other libation if preferred plus a healthy serving of crow. :)
Paphgirl August 6th, 2005, 08:26 AM mmmmm, crow.....loove crow!
L I Jane August 6th, 2005, 08:35 AM
I'll see you doubting Thomas's next week. Now I'll be going out to find me some crows to serve.
$%*$*$**(_P@#% colour blind people!
RickL August 6th, 2005, 10:42 AM It's close enough to blue for me.
Awesome color LI Jane Me and Marcus want to know how big this guy is. It looks vanda-ish
L I Jane August 6th, 2005, 11:07 AM Rick & Marcus.I just went out to check for you rather than guess.I got this last year & it is 6" high.My other Lou Snearys that I've had for years are 8".They all throw growths off the side so I have a few fans.
couscous74 August 6th, 2005, 03:26 PM Woohoo Blue  Free food at Jane's place!
malipoense August 6th, 2005, 03:54 PM lovely ! I really like this cross. what potting media do you use for this small guy ?
L I Jane August 6th, 2005, 09:08 PM Malipoense--this is in a bark mix in a pot --the same as when I got it last year with loads of aerial roots.Others that I have (neostylis')are in baskets with hardly any mix at all as the roots just engulf the baskets that I have just sitting on a bench. After blooming I may well put this in a basket as well. They are much like vandas in this respect.
Park Bear August 8th, 2005, 02:45 PM very nice
