:woohoo: I was surprised to find a nice size Phrag grande at a nursery near my home and I had to have it so I bought it. This plant is big with 2 large growths and one medium size growth. Is it safe to divide this plant into 3 plants? Any advice would be appreciated.

Sure you can divide it but you'd most probably end up with 0 plants. The correct answer is no not a good idea to divide it. Wait until it has at least 6 or more mature growths and then you can divide it into 2 separate plants with at least 3 growths to each division.

:iagree::iagree:If you let the plant grow into one big specimen size plant the flowers will be larger and more impressive looking and spectacular when the plant blooms.

Thanks guys I won't divide. I grow on a small windowsill and this plant is taking up precious real estate but I like how this plant looks and will make more room on a different windowsill.

I would wait until it has at least 8 growths and then only divide it into 2-3 pieces. The plants grow so much better when they are larger.

At that size I would consider it a mature plant and should bloom anytime whenever it is ready. Give it the basic requirements that is plenty of water and bright light.

Leave it undivided and you will have a nice stronger and healthier plant with larger better flowers.
