Mahon July 31st, 2005, 12:02 PM Wondering how you got to only Invert colors a little bit, what program did you use?
Otherwise, looks like a nice Phrag. besseae in reality.....

can i get a division
Ernie July 31st, 2005, 12:16 PM Was that a red filter or infra-red light? It's an amazing photo and it would be possibly more interesting if you could lift the flower away from the off-color background and then superimpose into a normal color photo to get the correct greens in the background. Then we can start a new rumor about finding a blue besseae!!
Ron-NY July 31st, 2005, 12:17 PM I was just uploading with the webshots loader from my computer and this happened? Got me why!
Mahon July 31st, 2005, 12:21 PM Ron,
Try going to your photo editor, and try inverting the colors. I tried to invert the colors via Paint and Photoimpression, but there is no level of invertness in colors. You may want to look on your editor and see if you can reinvert the colors a little bit. I am assuming your Phrag. besseae is a regular colored one, as I am seeing the inverted colors, and it would have to be red for it to show up blue.....

RickL July 31st, 2005, 01:05 PM That's cosmic dude 8) 8)
I have a color inverter in my infran view photo shop that could do stuff like that. Seems like once I've reversed colors, I can't make it go back without just shutting down the editor.
Mahon July 31st, 2005, 01:48 PM Since the photo is not 100% Inverted, you may have to try and find an Inverter "meter" on your editor, or you can re-upload the pic from your digital camera again. If the pic originally came up normal, and turned out to be blue when published, then there was an error in the uploading onto a photo bucket, or it was already screwed up when you uploaded it.....

Ron-NY July 31st, 2005, 01:59 PM it is on my hard drive with normal color and only did this when uploaded to Webshots. It is a bright orange one.
Paphraguy July 31st, 2005, 02:01 PM Ron, try Photobucket, much better than Webshots and webshots is so full of ads but it's up to you.
Ron-NY July 31st, 2005, 02:17 PM Is there a way I can transfer my pics from webshots to photobucket?
Paphraguy July 31st, 2005, 02:23 PM I don't know but you would have to upload all your pics to Photobucket or whatever online storage you select. I don't use Photobucket but quite a few members here do and they like it.
Ernie July 31st, 2005, 02:47 PM I just created an account on Photobucket and uploading your pictures seems to be easiest from your own computer. In your hard drive you should have a single directory of all the pictures of your orchids so you can easily retrieve them when wanted. Enable photobucket by registering and following the activation link, sign in and create your specific album by name and click on the album name.
Then decide how many pictures you want to upload at once and select that number on the mutiple pictures pulldown. Use the browse button and find the name of the directory on your computer where all your pictures are and select the ones you wish to upload. Name it and hit the submit button and you're all set.
You can probably upload from your other provider IF you can get that to be the directory browsed but I'm not sure if you can.
Ron-NY July 31st, 2005, 03:23 PM already signed up, now just have to move pics
Paphgirl July 31st, 2005, 03:24 PM Nice Ron, however, you could have gotten a bundle on ebay for your RARE!!!! Never before seen BLUE besseae!!!!!!!!
Ron-NY July 31st, 2005, 03:25 PM not a bad idea Heather ;)
Jon in SW Ohio July 31st, 2005, 05:05 PM That's one wavy gravy besseae, the tonsum looked pretty far out as well.
I think you will love photobucket, I'm already on my second free account and have yet to have a problem.
