Hello all, this is my latest bloomer, caudatum x sargentianum. The sepals held together for a long while as the bloom was opening, so it ended up a bit skewed. I am hoping the next bloom will not do the same...

I'm guessing it's a first bloom because it looks a bit twisted overall but I really like the form and colors. Good Job Growing!!!!!!!

Hi Stephen,
That is so pretty!!! Thank you for posting. I'm a little confused. (nothing new) Isn't sargentianum a variety of caudatum?
I don't understand the cross; not that it means much to be as this is so beautiful!!!!
Thanks!!

Thanks for the nice comments, all.
Susan, the proper name of the parents are Phrag caudatum and Phrag lindleyanum var. sargentianum (Grus, Olaf. A Checklist of the Genus Phragmipedium. Orchid Digest. Oct., Nov., Dec., 2000, pp. 213-41.), but the RHS uses sargentianum for registration purposes (IMHO, justifiably so, although they need to start allowing species + varietal names to be used as parents).
