Anyone have any blooming sized Paph. barbigerum? I had these a while back, and cost me $80-$120 a plant, I am sure the price has lowered by now..... like Phrag. besseae.... I am also looking for Paph. barbigerum album, if this is available.....

Thanks, contact me through PM or e-mail,

Dear Patrick,
when you would be in Germany then it would be no problem, because many plants were produced by artificial propagation. The price is lesser then the half here.
More difficult it is with the albine form. But these were also made by artificial propagation. IO hjave heard that the seedling grow very well.

Best greetings

Olaf

I am still on the look-out for the plants of Paph. barbigerum album here. The type is easy to find, but not a real price. Still the old prices for blooming plants, or low prices for the advertised blooming plants that are truly young seedlings.

I wish I kept some of my Paph. barbigerum, I was not expecting I would like to grow Paphiopedilums as my main orchid genus..... I was expecting Pleurothallids, and genera in Subtribe Zygopetalinae, the Subtribe I am currently re-evaluating. I liked only a few Paphios then, but have liked all of them. I am open to them all, except for the Roths. type (phillipense, sanderianum, kolapikingii, etc....). I like Parvis. the best.

Too bad I don't live in Germany or Europe, I would have a blast there with all the species open to buy. Of course, my propagating would be belittled, as everyone there propagates them, as the situtation sounds......
