Hopefully this is the correct area to post this.
I thought that it would be of interest to all to have a look at the winning plants and displays at recent show. It is via a link as there are further links to previous shows as well. The pictures expand to give a better view. I venture to say it will draw some interesting comments.

Roy Thanks for the link to the OSCOV show results.----Interesting to see Mem Barbara Francis doing so well.----I made this cross some years ago and one flask went to John Martin and Andrew Francis of Castle Creek Orchids.---I have kept 8 plants from the flask I kept and I beleive Castle Creek had good results with their flask.-----I still have the parents(Jim Mackinney`Spectacular` and Coperware`Linda`) and am tempted to remake the cross again.

Jim, I only know of 2 of their plants being awarded and thought that they were hard done by with HCC's. Looking at your plants I not sure any more. If you do decide to remake the cross I would be most greatful to purchase a flask or 2. Either parent would be just fine also.
I think its a cross well worth remaking for sure.

Jim
Castle Creek have 3 plants awarded by OSCOV of the Mem. Barbara Francis cross as well as an AQ. The plant that was reserve champion at the show has also won a Victorian Orchid of the Year. I believe that only 2 people have pieces of Mem. Babara Frances 'Castle Bend' and that is you and me. John and Andrew sold them last year when they were planning to close down the nursery. It is a superb cross and I have won reserve champion at another show with 'John F'. If you ever remake the cross you can put me down for a couple of flasks.

You should also see some of the Fumi's that Castle Creek have produced - Their own breeding and fantastic.

Jim, I agree with Roy. If you do remake the cross, I would appreciate it if you could spare a flask. Regards Wyruna
