Hi everyone. I just got a lowii, a plant I've wanted for a year now but hesitated to buy because of my light. Now that I have fl in place I wanted to give it a try. The plant has 3 buds about to open, 1 mature growth of about 12" leaf span and a new growth just emerging. Any tips/suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin

I grow mine indoors under bright HPS light system in the winter/out in the bright sunroom during summer. Plenty of moisture, humidity and air movement. They are prone to bacterial rot so be extra careful and provide plenty of constant air flow. Hope this helps!

Three buds about to open? Sounds like you're doing great! Post a picture when it blooms.

Lowii was one of the first paphs I got, and its grown and flowered like a weed for me for about 4 years. There is a picture of mine on Troy's site. I think its a great plant. Make sure the humidity is up when the petals start to come out, or they will droop.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I re-organized my growing area today to increase humidity. Sorry I can't take credit for the buds; they were there when I bought it. Kevin
