Wow I like that. How easy/difficult are they to grow?

They do not have fragrance.

Very easy to grow and flower. Flower every year. I hang them up in the greenhouse with my catts. Same mix as paphs.

thanks all

Ah, is this named after you? Or the other Pedro perhaps? :poke:

Does this hybrid have separate male and female flowers?

Yes! all these are male. Thus the name Pedro :D

This is why I said Catasetums are crazy. Do you have pictures of the female flowers of this hybrid?

Do you see them on the plant at the same time as the male flowers? I heard the production of male and female flowers is dependent on temp and light, so you could have both sexes on the same spike if some of it was in the shade during development.

Rick,

I have never seen the female flowers on this particular plant. I have had it for about 5 years.

thanks

Sexually dimorphic orchids? This is better than expected, now I really have to get some of these...I breed some Eclectus Parrots, males are mainly green and hens mainly red.

Cool birds. Are they trainable to do tricks, "talk," etc.?
