Ok, so this is supposed to have a nice fragrant but it doesn't. I think it smells putrid! But flowers are so cool. Two spikes, one just opened last night.

Very strong, stinks up the entire room. It's a minty flavour with a putrid touch.

Very pretty. I thought most Stans flowered from the bottom. Am I thinking of something else?

Yup, though this one seems to come out the sides. If you look at the third pic, there's a second spike coming out of the side. And i just now noticed a 3rd spike on the plant, also coming out of the side.

I have another species in spike that's coming out the bottom.

How big is the plant? Looks like a relatively small net pot. Most stanhopea plants I've seen have been quite a bit larger than that...

6" basket, but you're right. It's a very small plant. The leaves are about 1/2 the size of all my other Stanhopeas but it has 10 bulbs and 4 starts with three spikes.
