Hey folks,
I'm planning to visit some C. reginae in Vermont in the coming weeks. The best guess on the bloom timing is mid-late June for this site, with photos from around June 20-22 in previous years. I have a four hour drive to the site, and a four hour drive back from near Goshen, NY, so I'm not keen on driving out their only to miss the bloom.
Even though I know there will be variations in timing based on geography, care, and local climate, can folks in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts give me some warning that their C. reginae are blooming (wild or outdoor cultivated), to keep me from going early? I'd also be interested in knowing when they typically bloom, but I'm really interesting in knowing when some are actually blooming, because I'm really concerned about jumping the gun, or worse, waiting too long. The C. acaule I saw in PA was about a week early this year, and I almost missed it.
