Last Cyp to flower for me each year, C. kentuckiense. I love the profile of the lip - nearly a vertical drop in the front. No other Cyp has a lip quite like that:

Another nice feature are the purple spots on the lip orifice and staminode:

This plant has been with me for over two years now, so I feel it is settling in. It really is tough keeping Cyps alive in this hot climate, but if any species can handle the heat, its this one!

Tome well done both the pictures and the growing of the Cyps in the warm climate.

Does is seem to multiply as well? Or at least thrive or is it a battle just to keep it alive?
Talking about Cyps in a warm Climate
I just heard that they had Cyp Calceolus just north of Lisbon Portugal where it was cooled by the rocks and the cool wind from the Atlantic. A Natural version of How You grow Yours. People took it/them and it is now extinct in Portugal :(.
Temperature in the summer in Portugal can reach more than 35C and even more some summers with more than 40C. That is above body temperature so I presume it is more than 100F.
Once again great photographs on a great plant.

Kind regards
Joakim

Great photo! I love this one too. It's my favorite!

They native here, and almost gone. Hopefully, with information exchange forums (like the SOF) and a little collaboration, this will change. :fcrossed:

Thanks for sharing the pics,
