Heather,

Marcus is correct as usual! It is spanish moss. I have quite a bit of spanish moss growing in the greenhouse. I use to bring it back from Florida when on vacations. It grows all over their trees in quantity! I would pack my luggage with it and hang it in the greenhouse.

thanks

Ok, I wondered about that! At first I thought so too, but then noticed how green some of it was. Neat!

hehe just a lucky guess. I always wondered what that stuff was used for... and now I know, packing luggage :poke:

It is a very beautiful flower by the way. :D

I use Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) in my greenhouse and shade house, as an indicator, telling me if the humidity is correct. Too low and it dries out, too high and it turns brown.
