This is obviously one of the newer delenatii plants, and unlike my old "original" delenatii to the left of it, it has fragrant flowers. It is also a much stockier plant with darker patterned leaves, larger flowers, and darker colored flowers. To me the fragrance is identical to the sweet smell used in japanese beetle traps, but I have also heard that it smells like raspberries.

I like delenatii - it took me a while to warm up to it. My Beverly Fischer which does not have del, but has fischerii in it does smell of raspberries. I have a del. hybrid also that is in sheath this week, which will be nice. No scent on it though. I do like this little species, mine is very young.
