This one is pretty easy to grow. Mine is mounted on a piece of locust. This year two of the keikis are spiking. The blooms are about 5cm across.

That's awesome :joy: Looks real cool with the keikis and the flowers coming off the mother plant.
If you ever want to cut off a keiki, I always have a spot on my wall for another phal species. :D

Great Looking! My phals don't like me and mounts (together). Is it fragrant?

Fasciata is not fragrant, but leudmaniani is. Both are similar in growth habit, and will rebloom and keiki off of the old spikes. Ed Merkle has a huge specimen leud. that he has remounted on a bigger plaque so that the keikis can attach and produce even more keikies. At this point it should cover a trash can lid. I mounted mine in 2002 after its first blooming.

Mounting should work great as long as the humidity stays up. Cork bark does not work as good for me as other barks that I find around the house. I think the cork is too water repelent.

My leudd is a keiking fool! I have maybe 2(left) that I have removed, and my plant has 3 more growing on it right now. I got to smell a cornuginia(spelling?) specie phal, it smelled like Big Red gum.

I love leuddes and mine is very fragrant, flowers smell like lilacs to me. I have posted pics of my leudde here in the Gallery.
