This is supposed to be Phrag. Sorcer's Apprentice x ? can't make out the tag and this is the first time I can remember getting it to do anything the first growth recently had a short spike no bud ever developed but the growth was small and I was surprised to see a spike at all then this one started growing a spike then another growth started it's spike so I thought I would see two spikes in bloom together. but as you can see there isn't a bud at the spikes end just leaves unfurling. The next spike will bloom because I can clearly see two buds. They are elongated like it will have long petals. So I'm curious what it was crossed with.The buds look green so far. I never had a plant do that before. It's a decent size plant too I don't know why the first spike acted the way it did either

It looks like 2 different plants in one pot to me. Have you ever repotted it to see?

It's all the same plant I have repotted more than once Had the plant for quite some time.I just have never seen this before.

Interesting. It is beautifully grown plant, so I can't see why no buds developed either.
