HI

I'm trying to post photos into this thread.

The pink one is Albapurpurum 'Sir Arthur' and the other is a photo of the tray I place my blooming slippers into. Hope this goes thru.

Perfect!
Glad that worked out for you! You had an extra image tag (/img) at the end, but other than that, PERFECT!

Can't wait to see more - and WOW, great blooming Phrags and Paphs you have there! Are they all blooming now?

Most all of these are still blooming. This was taken about 2 weeks ago. I have a couple more blooming now and one of them is my pride and joy. I bought it a while back and now it is blooming. I'll post that photo with this post. It is 'Mary Bess' and when this was taken yesterday it had 8 flowers and 2 buds still to go.

I couldn't see the first couple pictures, but that Mary Bess is spectacular! I've never seen a phrag holding so many flowers at once.

Have you bloomed this plant before? Does it always do this? Absolutely amazing... Most people can only achieve this effect with superglue.

That Mary Bess was probably made with d'allesandroi and not the regular besseae.

That would make sense... I haven't seen that many plants made with the d'allesandroi variety of besseae. If they tend to bloom this way, however, I'll have to find some more.

I think Dennis is coming to Lansing next month, I'll have to contact him and see if he has any of his namesake for sale.

Hi Grandma,

Your Phrag Mary Bess is absolutely exquisite, as is the photo! I was not able to see the first two photos you posted.

How did you make your photo so big? Is there another command you use in order to increase photo size??? I've been trying to use any and all of the html "commands" that I know to increase the size of my photos, but have not been successful.

Congratulations on that wonderful plant!

Dusty Attic Stuff

I have been trying to figure out how to make my photo smaller so it does not take so long to bring it up. Whatever it takes I haven't figuret it out yet.

Thanks for the comment on my phrag. I haven't been growing slippers very long but find them more interesting than my other orchids. I do have some nice catts in bloom right now. One is in the process of opening and tomorrow I should see it better. I will post a pic on the forum. Since I started growing slippers my many catts sort of got left in the dust. I have several small ones which I may get rid of because I am too impatient to wait for them to become blooming size.
