I went to the Orchid fair at K&R orchids in South Auckland and came away with few more paphs.

appletonianum
bullenianum
haynaldianum
delenatii
micranthum
laevigatum

The haynaldianum is FS (how can you call a paph BS?!!), and the appletonianum is in bud. I know people say the appletonianum and bullenianum are the same but these are quite distinct, the bullenianum has tesselated foliage and the other doesn't.

I had a chat with Murray Shergold of Easy Orchids in NSW, and he told me that he has just become the Aussie agent for In Charm Orchids, so he will be stocking flasks of their crosses. That has just put my disposable income in some serious danger! Since Papa Aroha orchids are no longer operating here there really is nowhere to get the sort of crosses that In Charm make. Apparently things aren't much better in Aus.

Look forward to seing photos of them in flower.

That is great news regarding Easy Orchids and In-Charm Orchids. I was starting to wonder where good quality plants were going to come from in Australia.

He hasn't mentioned it on his website, so I hope I haven't said anything out of turn.

Your right about Paph buying in Aus', very few places selling seedlings of any quality and reasonable price. Nicky Zurcher sells good seedlings at a price that seems expensive but his plants are generally twice the size of others. Robertsons orchids plants aregood for size also.
Extremely uncertain that easy orchids being agent for In-Charm is all that greater news.

Looking at the very much out of date price list on the In Charm website they are not cheap, so I don't suppose Murray will be either. At least flasks of paphs will be available to people like me that can only afford one or two at a time. In Charm specify a minimum of US$500 for export orders. The there are the paperwork costs....

Nicky Zurcher is also the agent for Equagenera in Aus, isn't she? Another flask list I wish I could go wild with.

Here in NZ the best place to get paphs is Keith Goodwin, he has a big range of species but no hybrids. There really is nowhere to get things like St Swithin, all of the growers that used to supply them have retired, or died.

For those of you that are not on the Easy Orchids mailing list here is a link to the flask list that Murray has just published. There is a massive range of paphs on it, far more than I could hope to get hold of in this country.

The phil alba looks interesting, and Christmas is not too far away.....
