Oh hey! Great! Thanks for posting. I saw your richarianum earlier today and am very glad to see it here. What a cute little species. One I do not have, yet! Also, your artwork is really quite amazing! I love the caudatum! Have you bloomed all these?

Most were drawn from my plants or my good friend Tom's. The Ghost orchid wasn't since I've never tried to grow one, and the Phrag. fischeri and Mexipedium were drawn in my anticipation to getting them before they were affordable...but I have since bloomed them. I am currently working on a Phrag. kovachii watercolor, again in anticipation to getting one in a couple years hopefully.
I'm glad this forum got started, now I've got a place to post my collection of Paph and Phrag photos. I just need to find a better photo host than Yahoo. If anyone can recommend a good site...that's free, please e-mail me.

Who is your ISP? Usually, ISPs like Verizon provides free webspace to their customers and I have Verizon.

We're glad too! Keep them coming, especially the kovachii, love to see that one in any way shape or form.

I really liked the fischerii/mexi one also - they look very botanical, if that makes sense. I also like the besseae var. flavum very much!

I don't have any recommendations on photos. I am not thrilled w/ webshots at all, and so use verizon also at the moment.

This reminds me of one of my projects. I also to orchid art. I do etchings in wood, linoleum, and intaglio style metal etching to make prints from, just like the old botanicals. I am thinking of making a modern kodek of paphiopedilum prints, but I would want someone to do the color inking too. Yours look really great. If your interested in some project like that, I can send you images.

Jon,

How large is your richardianum? I am thinking of getting one (shh, don't tell Pete!) Your's is really adorable!

Also, try photobucket, if you haven't already. I switched to them and they are much easier to deal with than verizon or webshots. Very happy with them.

The plant is quite compact for a multifloral, about 10x10 max. The spikes can get tall and sparsely flowered, which is the only downfall IMO. It is much smaller than my lowii, but so are the flowers.

I have used photobucket since this original post above...and I truely love it. All posts I have with pictures in them instead of links are from photobucket.
