Here is my Phrag longifolium in bloom video. This plant has been in bloom non stop since 2001/2002. Very fast growing, almost weedy! I have already divided it many times before. It was about twice the size now before I divided it about two months ago and got two large divisions. I also accidentally broke a spike this summer and last summer but it keeps producing more spikes and I'm getting so tired of looking at the same flowers everyday. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Thanks! Before the division, it was well over 40 inches in LS and it is probably still the same LS, maybe slightly smaller.

Yes and if you don't keep dividing it like I have it will get even bigger! And the spikes get very long and stay in bloom forever!

Yes, that sounds just fine but since I don't know your conditions, you would have to experiment and see what works for you. One thing for sure, longifoliums love water.
