Why would you want to cross something as beautiful as the phil with the primulinum?
I have to admit to a bias against the cochlopetalums, I think their petal form ruins the progeny.

I agree with you Nick. I see nothing to be gained by crossing the phil with the primulinum. I'd stick with the selfings. Nice phil.

A great selfing is a beautiful thing, and the best hybridizers in the world do a great deal of it. You can't go wrong with line breeding species. Good luck Ron!
