That's true! They take up space, but I love them :heart:
I am hoping for a bigger GH by next fall, one that is 4 feet taller and 10 x 12. It's good paphs don't take up as much space! LOL! I wonder how big they would grow under MH, because it helps leaf production??? I can only imagine.....

to go with them is Caligo memnon,brings the green hse to life,youll never regret it

The banana plams are beautiful! Are they just the ornamental types or the fruiting ones and are the fruits edible?

Musa: dwarf cavendish, super dwarf cavendish, little prince, bordelon, velutina, rajapuri, cheesmani/nagensium, basjoo, morado enano, hy brasilian, african rhino, nchumbahaka, kirkinan, pelipita, paggi, hapai, guineo doble, and cuban red.
Ensete: ventricosum 'Maurelii'
Musella: lasiocarpa.

dont know what the weather is like over there?can you grow them outside all year??

Winter goes to -10 max. I grow in a 55 to 70 degree heated GH in winter.
I actually grew lots from Flask and seed. I have 2 Cheesmani's that I grew from 30 seeds this winter.

do you cut them down to put them away for winter?have you a long enough summer to fully mature the edible fruiting ones,or have you a high enough grn hse?

Nope. I don't cut them down. I have cut all of the leaves off of one that had really bad spidermites, and it grew back. I try to get varieties that are small.
I may build a 10' tall GH next year. ;)
